Our definitions of sleep and waking in fact dreaming and waking are artificial. I find when you look more closely at this and this is the basis of a theory I’ve been evolving and developing for about 20 years. I’ve come to believe that sleeping and dreaming and waking which most of us would agree are the three primary forms of consciousness, that they are always present. In other words, and this is going to sound a little silly, I believe that we are always to varying degrees, asleep, awake and dreaming. Listen Here
